Bodh’s Central Research and Resource Centre (CRRC) provides a valuable platform for consolidating ongoing work and also expanding competencies in various domains. It is at the forefront of organisational efforts aimed at enhancing understanding of educational interventions for deprived and marginalised communities. Its key thrust areas include contextual teaching learning processes across the education continuum (pre-school to senior secondary levels), academic enrichment, training, research, documentation and policy discourse. Its components and centres provide resource support internally and externally.

European Commission and Aga Khan Foundation’s Programme for Enrichment of School Level Education (PESLE) provided Bodh the support to develop CRRC.

Resource School Net
Local communities and Bodh have collectively established bodhshalas across Jaipur and Alwar, Rajasthan, India. These and also some government schools have been categorised as resource schools that can act as loci for pedagogic support for neighbouring schools. The resource schools can, and do, function as model schools for other important aspects such as community involvement as well. Currently, there are around 70 such resource schools across Jaipur and Alwar

Manas Ganga Schools
Two experimental model schools – Manas Ganga Senior Secondary Girls Residential and Manas Ganga Pre and Early Primary School – have been established. The girls’ school, initiated in 2005, covers classes VI-XI. The girls belong to rural communities, primarily from Alwar district in Rajasthan. Classes VI-VIII are located at Bodh’s rural campus at Bodhgaon, Thanagazi, (Alwar, Rajasthan). Classes IX-XI are located at the urban campus in Kukas (Jaipur, Rajasthan). The school marks a significant attempt at providing a holistic educational framework that balances academics, arts, sports and vocational education components. The emphasis is on understanding the specific contexts of the girls and enhancing their inherent capabilities and skills.

The pre and primary school is also located in the urban campus. This school was started in 2007 and is modeled on the concept of an inclusive, common school catering to children of the neighbourhood – in terms of both nearby deprived communities as well as middle-high income localities in Jaipur. The school represents institutional efforts aimed at promoting a culture that helps overcome barriers related to religion/caste/class/gender/ability and other such distinctions.

The resource school net and the Manas Ganga schools work closely with CRRC. These schools serve as sites for pedagogical experimentation and innovation in various aspects linked to curriculum, community ownership in school processes, school management etc.

Besides housing the Manas Ganga schools, the two educational campuses at Bodhgaon and Kukas provide space for trainings, workshops, educational camps for children and other activities. Essentially, these campuses have been envisaged as hubs for rural and urban programmes respectively.

CRRC is also co-ordinating several key partnership programmes .
